Every day more it is difficult to get Olive Wood, even more to find the needed size of the block -without wounds- to carve the sculpture MARIA.
In 2020, in spite of the restrictions and lockdown, Guido Dettoni della Grazia has been able to collect and select Olive Wood from Umbria, the land of Saint Francis.<\/p>

With the chosen blocks, each of 6 x 2,4 x 2,4 in he has carved, finished and signed the handheld copies sized 5.5 in.<\/p>

As it happens with every wood, the blocks are all different from each other, so that every sculpture is unique and unrepeatable<\/strong>.<\/p>

The dove in flight approached Noah\u2019s Ark. Its beak carried an olive branch. The land was near. The flood had ended and the peace began. The olive tree, since then, became its symbol.<\/em><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Ogni giorno di pi\u00f9 \u00e8 difficile procurarsi legno di olivo e trovare la misura necessaria del blocco – senza ferite – per scolpire la scultura MARIA.<\/p>

Nel 2020, nonostante le restrizioni e i lockdown, Guido Dettoni della Grazia ha potuto raccogliere e selezionare legno di olivo proveniente<\/em> dall\u2019Umbria, la terra di San Francesco.<\/p>

Con i blocchi scelti, ciascuno di 15 x 6 x 6 cm, egli ha scolpito, rifinito e firmato le copie a misura delle mani nelle dimensioni di 14 cm.
Come succede con ogni legno, i blocchi sono tutti diversi l\u2019uno dall\u2019altro, cosicch\u00e9 ogni scultura \u00e8 unica e irripetibile<\/strong>.<\/p>

La colomba in volo si avvicin\u00f2 all’arca di No\u00e8. Il suo becco portava un ramoscello d’olivo. La terra era vicina. Il diluvio era terminato ed era iniziata la pace. L’olivo, da allora, ne \u00e8 diventato il simbolo.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
